Dusty Strings Harps

Dusty Strings Harps have an impeccable reputation for quality of sound and quality of construction. We do our best to keep examples of all of their models in stock, from their 26-string Ravenna model to several versions of their staveback 36 string models. We stock the FH36S in walnut, bubinga and koa, as well as some of the less common woods such as wenge and lyptus.

Dusty Strings FH36S Koa
36 strings, stave back, koa, full Loveland sharping levers. Koa is an Hawaiian wood, golden brown with subtle dark streaks that produces a clear, sweet tone with a great deal of sustain.

Dusty Strings FH36S Lyptus
36 strings, stave back, lyptus wood, full Loveland sharping levers, maple soundboard face veneer. Lyptus is an ecologically sustainable wood that looks similar to cherry, starting out pale pink and darkening to a deep reddish brown. The wood has also received accolades for it's tone.

Triplett Harps

Triplett is another fine line of harps, made in California since 1980. They offer a wide range of sizes, from a "travel" harp size to 38 strings, and make harps in cherry, walnut, maple, mahogany, and occasionally other woods.

Thormahlen Harps

We are pleased to be able to offer Thormahlen Harps. These harps are in very limited production so we feel fortunate to have these fine instruments. Their standard model is the Swan, a 36-string harp, available in various woods.

Harps Books & DVDs

We carry an extensive selection of books and DVDs for harp, from instructional materials to tune collections. We also carry all four volumes of the Sounding Harps: Music for the Irish Harp series as well as My Gentle Harp, by Mercedes Bolger. These Irish publications are known for their respected arrangements of traditional harp tunes. They were compiled by Cairde Na Cuite, the Irish Harp Society. Our price is $29.95.
