Lebeda Resophonic Guitars & Mandolins
Czech builder Jiri Lebeda produces fine carved-top mandolins in A and F styles, as well as two-point models (shown at right). He is also known for building quality resonator
guitars, modeled after instruments of the 1930s, and they retain that classic sound.
One doesn't ordinarily associate bluegrass instruments with the Czech Republic, but consider that the region has a very long tradition of violin-making, along with a fanatical hard core of bluegrass fans and musicians.
