10-7/8" heavy spun over rim, 26" scale maple neck with bound ebony fretboard, engraved gryphon peghead inlay, engraved fretboard inlays, essentially the same neck as Whyte Laydie No. 2. The neck has a well repaired heel crack, a small chip out of the peghead veneer and has been french polished slightly darker than original. All parts and hardware are original. Fitted with new high quality calfskin head. Overall VG-EXC except as noted. New HSC $2000

Wood rim with spun tone ring similar to Bacon internal resonator models, wood marquetry around rim and resonator, curly mahogany resonator with wood inlay pattern in center, birdseye maple neck. High grade hardware, hooks insert into holes in side of tension hoop, embossed flange, original planet tuners and Kerschner tailpiece. Four replacement hooks andl nuts, resonator and rim non professionally refinished, considerable wear, cosmetically fair condition only, but set up and plays well. OHSC $550

Vega Senator Plectrum Banjo 1922/1930
10-15/16" rim, two section mahogany resonator, 26 hooks and ball end nuts, individual flanges, 26" scale mahogany neck with bound pearwood fretboard. Neck is from 1922 (serial no. 48745), rim from 1930 (serial no. 91042). Dowel extended 3/16" to fit slightly larger rim, two small screw holes repaired in back of peghead, considerable wear to dyed pearwood fretboard but only moderate fret wear. Good sound and playability, overall VG-EXC. $750

Gibson F-4 1924
A very nice example from the Loar era. Fine to medium grained spruce top, two piece curly maple back, red sunburst finish, single flower pot peghead inlay, truss rod and adjustable bridge. Some light playing wear, a few scratches including one long scratch on top but no cracks, structural damage or repairs. All original except new ebony end pin. EXC, OHSC. $9250

Cherry sunburst top finish, oval soundhole bound with "rope" pattern and ivoroid, bound ebony fretboard, 24 frets, abalone fleur de lis peghead inlay, original adjustable ebony bridge, truss rod, original pickguard. Considerable finish wear on back of neck, some other wear, small repaired crack at lower end of heel, tuners are correct style and period but likely not original to this instrument. Good sound and playability, a nice Loar period instrument. VGC, newer HSC. $2650
