Good German violin from the Ernst Heinrich Roth shop, copy of Stradivarius 1725. Fine grained spruce top, two piece back of strong curl descending slightly from the center joint, ribs and neck of similar wood. Lightly antiqued red/brown varnish over a golden ground. $6000
