NIKOLAI TAMBOVSKI VIOLIN - 1990
Made in Missouri, fine grained spruce top, a little wider grain toward the edges, one piece back of strong narrow grain, matching ribs, shaded golden brown varnish. $8000

Copy of Stradivarius 1725, fine grained spruce top a little wider toward the edges, strongly flamed two piece back, ribs of similar wood, shaded medium brown varnish over a golden ground. $5500

E. H. BERLIN VIOLIN
Branded "Special E. H. Berlin" inside the back and also branded "E. H." below the end pin. A good German shop violin probably made for the dealer Emil Herrmann. Fine to medium grained spruce top, nicely flamed two piece back, ribs of matching wood, good red/brown varnish lightly shaded and antiqued. $5000

A good French trade violin from the Laberte shop in Mirecourt. One piece spruce top with slightly wider grain on the bass side, nicely figured one piece back, medium red/brown varnish. $1450

German trade violin, Strad model, fine grained spruce top, well flamed two piece back, slightly shaded golden brown varnish. $1300

GUADAGNINI LABEL VIOLIN - EARLY 19th C.
German, early 19th century, Guadagnini label but model is more Amati. One piece spruce top with wide grain at bass edge and very fine grain at treble edge, one piece back with narrow, even flame, transparent medium brown varnish. Well executed old repairs include replaced neck/grafted pegbox, replaced button, and soundpost patch in back. A couple of less neatly done but sound rib repairs. $1200
